Education
Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Our Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research.
Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators and also learners may also educate themselves. Education can take place in formal or informal settings and any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of others, but may also be autodidactic.
The term “education system” includes all institutions which are concerned with the education of children, young persons and adults, in particular preschool/Kindergarten or nursery school, primary school, secondary school, or Gymnasium/grammar school, high schools, vocational schools, and on tertiary level polytechnics/ universities and also institutions of adult education like adult education centers.
An education system comprises everything that goes into educating public-school students at the federal, state, or community levels such as:
- Laws, policies, and regulations
- Public funding, resource allocations, and procedures for determining funding levels
- State and district administrative offices, school facilities, and transportation vehicles
- Human resources, staffing, contracts, compensation, and employee benefits
- Books, computers, teaching resources, and other learning materials
- And, of course, countless other contributing elements
